67. DUDS BASIC ULTRASOUND COURSE

Note – there are limited number of seats due to the following error: Corona restrictions. DUDS well-known basic course that most radiologists and other clinicians who use ultrasound undergo.
Organizer: Danish Ultrasonic Diagnostic Society (DUDS).
Time: Monday 13.09.21 to Wednesday 15.09.21 (3 days).
Location: Herlev Hospital. Lectures take place at Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES), local C3 on the 25th floor and hands-on in Store Mødesal.
Price: DKK 4,150, which includes lunch and coffee all 3 days.
Rules for cancellation: Cancellation by 1 August 2021 – the course fee will be refunded, less DKK 200 in administration fee.
Cancellation after 1 August 2021 – the course fee will be refunded, less DKK 750 to cover catering and administration.

Target group: Doctors and nurses/radiographers who want knowledge of elementary ultrasound functions both theoretically and practically.
Content: Ultrasonic physics, use of an ultrasonic scanner, choice of transducer, doppler and contrast, introduction to ultrasound scan in the following areas: Abdomen (gastro, turmoil, retroperitoneum), vascular (veins, arteries), mamma, gyn/obs, scrotum, intervention (biopsy, drainage and ablation), accumulations/trauma (FAST), anesthesiological/thorax (FATE), heart, musculoskeletal and throat. Plus 2 x 3 hours of practical exercises.
Course form: Lectures and practical exercises (hands-on on scanning models) with the possibility to test different ultrasonic scanners.
CME: The course is awarded 18 CME points and corresponds to EFSUMB's level 1 course.
